The government released the new guidelines for Unlock 4. The MHA (Ministry of Home Affairs) allowed the reopening of certain activities in the fourth round of unlocking while it has extended the lockdown in containment zones till September 30. An MHA release stated that the new guidelines are based on the feedback received from state governments and UTs.
So here is the list of what is allowed in this 4th phase of unlocking
- Metro services will resume from September 7th in a graded manner.
- There will be no restrictions on the interstate or intrastate movement of goods and people.
- No requirement of separate permission or e-permission
- Social/academic/sports/ religious/cultural/religious gatherings and functions will be allowed from September 21 but with a ceiling of 100 people.
- Open theatres will be permitted to work from September 21
- Essential services will only be allowed in the containment zones
- From September 21 onwards, only outside containment zones, States, and UTs may permit 50% of teaching and non-teaching staff to work at schools for online teaching, counseling and other related work
- Students of class 9 to 12 can visit the school voluntarily with parent’s written consent.
- Higher education institutes for research scholars (Ph.D.) and post-graduate students of technical and professional programs requiring labs can be permitted to work by the department of higher education in consultation with MHA.
- Lockdown will continue in containment zones till September 30.
List of what remains close in unlock phase 4
- Schools, colleges, institutes will remain close for students.
- Cinema halls, entertainment parks, swimming pools, theatres will continue to remain close
- International air travel will be restricted.
- People above the age of 65, pregnant women, children below the age of 10 are advised to stay home unless for meeting essential requirements and health purposes.
