Selena and BlackPink dropped their much-awaited song Ice-cream on 28th August, at midnight am. After dropping many hints on social media about what to expect from the much-anticipated collaboration, the girls lived up to the expectations. It is a perfect summer song and is quite refreshing with colorful scenes, outfits, and retro props with delightful music.
Before the release, the ‘Past life’ singer and Korean group of girls posted many glimpses of the song ‘ice cream’ which created much hype on social media. The pictures, teasers posted on social media were quite enticing, colorful, and cute. The lyrics are primarily in English but with a tint of Korean, reflecting confidence. There are some flirty lines too that are catchy and fun. In the video, the girls are seen having fun with the ice-cream and enjoying themselves which makes the video enjoyable for audiences too. The song’s standout lyrics were totally worth waiting. As the lyrics are co-written by Ariana Grande, Victoria Monet along with Gomez, Teddy Park, Bekuh Boom, and producers Tommy Browns and Steve Franks.
The band also released the footage of Selena on Instagram discussing how excited she was to work with them. Gomez also added that she was a big fan of them and it was a dream for her to collab with them. Girls and Gomez’s music video is featuring some cool summer outfits that are adorable and the best summer fashion of the year. Literally, you just can’t take your eyes out of the video. It is that kind of colorful, chirpy, along with outstanding lyrics.
Most recently, Selena was seen hosting a cooking show on HBO where she is taught cooking remotely while isolating by the top chefs across the world. And the Black Pink girls will be releasing their debut single album on October 2nd.
