Bloodshot Review

Bloodshot is an adaptation of a comic book, full of predictable plots and some cliches. It is a revenge drama film with a thrilling leap of imagination. So our protagonist Ray Garrison is given a new life by scientists with the help of nanotechnology. Microscopic elements like ‘nanites’ flow in the bloodstream of Garrison, which heals the fatal injuries within seconds. He can also quickly download and learn manuals to fly an airplane and can easily punch down concrete pillars.

So the story begins with Ray waking up in a laboratory where he is told by one of the scientists that he is given a new life and but he is a superhuman now with extraordinary abilities. In comparison, these scenes may remind you of Wolverine and Deadpool.

He wakes up with no memory that he swore to take revenge from the psycho killer who killed Gina but is instead told that he was destined to become a soldier. In the middle of the movie, Ray suddenly gets some memory flashbacks and then starts to hunt down the killer of his wife. He tries to find the killer by having access to every file, security camera, and massive surveillance system. This scene may remind you of Batman using a surveillance system for hunting down Joker in the Dark Knight.

There are a lot of familiar sequences in the movie, so the film lacks fresh concepts. The movie has an emotional quotient and average action scenes. Vin Diesel has done this kind of role so often that it doesn’t feel new to the eyes. Eiza Gonzalez has done a great job in the male-dominated movie and showcased her talent for being robotic and emotional at the same time. At the same time, other actors like Lamorne Morris and Siddharth Dhananjay bring much needed comic relief to the film.

Overall, the movie is only bearable because of the performances and has average action sequences with some humor in the middle of the film that will make you chuckle. So if you have nothing to do and you are a big fan of Vin Diesel, then give this movie a shot. You can watch this movie on Amazon Prime Video. So this was all about Vin Diesel’s action-drama movie Bloodshot.
