Take a deep breath: As cliche as it sounds, but this technique really works. Sit wherever you are and start taking deep breaths. Feel your lungs expanding while breathing. Deep breathing helps in oxygenating your blood and it also clears your mind. 

 

Take a nap: Taking a nap is one of the best ways to deal with stress. An afternoon nap can drastically reduce your stress, lift your mood, and increase alertness. So don’t feel guilty about taking a nap in the afternoon.

 

Laugh it out: Make yourself watch some funny videos online. Laughing often makes you forget about all your worries and on the other end, it also makes you feel better. So laugh and enjoy your life, because life is too short to be stressed about. 

 

Listen to your favorite music: Music has the power to escape you from your problems. So listen to your favorite or soothing music that relaxes your mind. It also lowers your blood pressure too. So listen to music and get yourself immersed in it.

 

Talk it out with your loved ones: Often sharing your problems with your loved ones makes you feel light. Also maybe they can help you out with your problems leading to stress. Even if they aren’t able to help, they can always support you and be there for you whenever you want someone to talk it out. 

 

Count your blessings: It is always great to be grateful for what you have. We often find ourselves complaining about our lives but there are people who wish to live our life. So be thankful to God for whatever they have given you. Show gratitude. Remind yourself what really matters. 

 

Make time for yourself: Engage yourself in your favorite activities. It will surely help you to reduce stress. Take a break from your work. Go for a vacation. Common, you deserve happiness in your life. So if you love dancing, singing, traveling or anything, just do it. Make time for your favorite activities which make you happy. This technique also enhances your self-esteem. So try this one out for sure.

 

Stop procrastinating: Procrastination often leads to stress. Stop being lazy and get your stuff done before your deadline. Procrastination is one of the common reasons for stress. So stop thinking and start doing it.  

Accept the things as they are: If you can’t change your situation then accept it wholeheartedly. The more time you take to accept things, the more stressed you will feel. So, accept the things as they are and take deep breaths.

 

Meditate: Meditation is the best cure to reduce stress and anxiety. Practice meditation daily and you will see the difference in you. You will feel calm, fresh, and rejuvenated. So try meditation and lead a calm life.
