Hello friends, Happy republic day,

Itrustyou19 welcomes riddhi jhala to our team and let’s have the introduction regarding riddhi’s journey in their own words

‘RitzyGlitzy’ the name means Stylish, glamorous and the quality of being exciting and attractive.

Riddhi Jhala, A blogger and content creator based in Ahmedabad, started out Ritzyglitzy blog out of passion and immense love towards all things fashion, food, fun and fitness.

How did it all start?

It’s been over 4 years to this blogging journey, it all started during college days back when I was pursuing microbiology but it didn’t interest me at all, I only had fashion/beauty running in my head and not microbes that I was studying and since childhood, I was always drawn towards dressing up and playing with makeup. So, I knew in my head I definitely want to make a career in my keen interest subject aka Fashion and Beauty but it was difficult as I was from a science field, middle-class background and Rajput family, I had lots of sceptical thoughts while starting out, one major thing was public profile wherein everyone including closed-minded distant relatives, neighbours to envious friends would see me sharing all about my everyday life on social media and no one would approve of it but because of my risk-taking and positive mindset, I finally started it as a hobby and what an amazing coincidence it was because that’s when blogging had slowly started rising in Indian market and as I was one of the few initial bloggers, good brands and opportunities started coming my way for collaborations and deals.

By the time I completed my bachelors, I knew blogging was only going to get bigger and better, Instead of pursuing higher studies, I wanted to do it full time. I was dedicated and I absolutely loved it, I even rejected an amazing job offer by Zydus Group – one of the best pharma companies and everyone around me thought I was crazy because they weren’t sure about my blogging career but inside my heart, I knew it was worth giving a shot.

So, here I am after 4 years of dedication and hard work. Till now I have worked with various national and international brands in fashion, beauty, skincare, food & lifestyle segment. Some of the brands I have collaborated with are MAC cosmetics, Lakme, W for Woman, Amazon India, Ponds, Starbucks, Infinix India, Steve Madden, Enrich Salon, Brand Factory and so many more.I am regularly featured in various newspapers for my styling, makeup, festive trends and tips.

Every day I create content related to my niche and audience, I tend to share lots of useful tips and trendy things to my community.
I always make sure to be relatable and truthful in every way, that’s how my audience trusts me with my recommendations and product reviews. I literally decline so many brand collabs just because I can’t relate to the brand in every way and also if I am not using the xyz product myself, why would I ask my followers to use.

Even while partnering with my favourite brands, I always make sure to honestly review the products only after I have used or tried them out at least. if there’s something that’s not working out for me, I always make sure to not promote it whatsoever. At the end of the day, it’s all about the trust and genuine connection with the audience and not about the number of likes.

With every new collaboration/campaign, I always learn and constantly keep experimenting with fun concepts & latest trends.

I invest my time in learning different things like editing, shooting, experimenting looks, social media strategies and so much more.

I believe learning is a lifetime process, I am all about trying new things every day.

I have recently started my youtube channel – Ritzyglitzyblog after a lot of procrastination.

Let me share some of my tips to create that picture-perfect Instagrammable post

1 – Good lightning is the key – try to shoot in sunlight/natural light as much as possible. Sunrise and Sunset is the best time for shooting.

2 – Know your angles – always try clicking from different angles, like for flat lays – a birds-eye view is great, for OOTDs – low angle is great as it will accentuate your height and figure, for makeup and portrait – high angle is amazing as it will highlight your best features. So, knowing and working with angles will help you get the perfect and desired shot.

3 – Go for Minimalism – do not exaggerate your picture with lots of elements in the background. Focus on your main subject only.

4 – Stand out with Editing – you can try different apps, software and play around with editing. you can even get the presets pack online in case you don’t know much about editing or don’t have enough time for editing.

5 – Be Real – showcase who you are and what do you love. The picture should be relatable to your niche and audience, don’t just do it for the gram. Ask yourself – is this helpful? is this relatable to other people? is this inspiring or informing, in any way? is this radiating good/positive vibes? If yes, then go ahead and post it with a good caption, related hashtags and location.
